I must apologise in advance for my first blog being about me, but have had some exciting news to share, and, well it’s my blog!
The winners of the 2013 ‘Take a View Landscape Photographer of the Year’ competition have been announced, and although I’m not a winner (that would have been way to much to take in) one of my images ‘Fiddlers Ferry at Dawn’ has been commended by the judges, and will appear in print in the ‘Landscape Photographer of the Year Collection 7’ book, and on view at the Exhibition at the National Theatre from December 7th 2013 until February 8th 2014. As you can imagine I’m so chuffed, I honestly never dreamed I would get this far, and cannot wait to see my image in print and on view at the National Theatre. The competition is now in it’s 7th year, and has produced some stunning images over the years, and is the brainchild of Charlie Waite, a talented Landscape Photographer, and is well worth a visit
The winning entry this year was a stunning image taken by Tony Bennett called ‘Mist and Reflections’ so congratulations to Tony, and to all the other commended and shortlisted images, many of the photographers are my contacts of flickr, really well done everyone who had success this year!
